Flawed logic...

Oh, the smooth talking of those who ignore the word of God...Who put the love of others before the love of God and replace the striving of all people to keep the commandments of God pure and entire with some diluted humanitarian ideology that leads others to think that wrong is right. http://clericalwhispers.blogspot.com/2011/04/mexican-bishop-tells-gays-lesbians.html To teach the ways of God is not to look down on others; it is to lift them to the Light. That is the work of the Church; to teach in love. Not to approve a way of life that is against the Laws of God. And note here that that is simply evaded. It is not the work of a church to approve and actively encourage a lifestyle that is against the Laws of God. Which is what is happening and being acted out here. It makes a mockery of the sacraments also.... teaching is that sexual activity outside marriage, which is between a man and a woman, is mortal sin. And that it is also serious sin to take Communion in a state of sin. And how can there be any true reconciliation here? A parody and a defilement thus. Someone asked me re this here.... Someone who was struggling with this whole area, of how we "treat" gays. The reply then used a specific person we both knew. As I said, I worked alongside the man; laughed and chatted and ate with him as I would with anyone. As I do with everyone.. who allows it. Yet had he raised this issue? Simply tell what God says time and again so clearly. No criticism or judgement. How could there be? We all fall short in so many ways. And we who wear the Habit in Ireland know full well what it is to be persecuted and scorned. We do not inflict that on others. To teach the ways and word of God is an honour and a blessing; to those who teach and to those who are open. A problem is that many are so sensitive that you cannot say anything without it being taken as homophobic; nasty word is that and so..... judgemental. Closed minds, narrow hearts... As opposed to us who are open and free and in the love and light, and who long for others to know this peace. This mind of 'acceptance" will bring no spiritual life or peace. It is entirely your choice how you live your life; that is your freedom. but, please, do not expect or demand that I approve or encourage active homosexuality. Because that is impossible for any true Christian. What happens with any church that does this is that it becomes a ghetto, for they are... discriminating actively against others. As for adopting children.. words fail...From a wet and windy Ireland where the first "gay" civil partnership has taken place. Sad indeed... But the clerical abuse has many forms of fall out.
