Are we truly expected to believe that the person thinks that there was no abuse by Sisters?
Is her memory or her grasp of reality so deficient that she is ignorant of the massive abuse by women religious in as many lands as there was clergy abuse? Often indeed in cahoots with priests?
The Ryan Report here in Ireland tells the truth; has she not read it? Or is she alleging that there was no such abuse in the US?
There have been similar hints of this before; and from Irish folk; the loud "women priest" movement has averred that had there been female power within the church, the abuse would have been less.
This is one case where the female is deadlier than the male.

We get flak still in many forms from abused.
One over-bright, brittle survivor, told of how he tore the veil off a nomercy who was beating him.. A much older man was bewildered.... surely you must have done something to deserve that? What did you do to be in there anyway?
The man explained quietly that his mother had died when he was a year old and he had been in "care" for 16 years.
"They were better than the Christian Brothers," he said, rolling his eyes.
"In Australia they are called the Christian Buggers," we told him..
He had already asked it we knew what PRIEST stood for..

The older man was safe, you see; he was well educated as a day pupil, in total ignorance of the cruelty and abuse within the residential facilities.
Last weekend, one of the many mentally handicapped folk here yelled abuse at us..."F****g nun!"
A tribute to the large nomercy convent there had been in that town. Empty now and disused.
And in our new surroundings, one market has banned us from trading there; because we dress as nuns and sell rosaries. The leader there is clearly a very damaged person.
The abuse has long tails, forked and venemous; and the blame and responsibility is not to this day being accepted by those in authority.
Until and unless that happens, there will be no renewal, no healing.
That any Sister could issue this statement proves this.
And she is of course trying to discredit the Church authorities; yet more damage, yet more division.
And why? To abscure the real reasons for this investigation... as many dying orders are indeed straying from church teachings.
Always denial; always evasion. Never that sweet and holy truth. Of Jesus; of His love, of His searching eyes on all and each of us.
