So the women leap on anything they can misinterpret?
Whether or not we agree with these rules is a different matter entirely; these are the rules and most people will simply walk away from an organisation if they disagree with or feel they cannot live with the rules.
This kind of behaviour is disedifying and counter-productive.
We should all be more concerned with statements like this, that nullify the reality and truth of the Christ.

A summer Sunday in Ireland... and a marching and piping festival in a small town, blessed by sunshine..
From our roadside stall, we watch.. The Gardai redirecting traffic is like something off an Irish soap opera....
Then the faint, growing sound of pipes and drums! And they come, the children first, bright in smart uniforms, pompoms waving.. Pipes and drums...
Strong, healthy young ones - and always one wee girl who is behind the others, brow furrowed in concentration....
Then a men's pipe band, stirring the blood and silencing the crowds..
And more; band after band of children and young people, marching, playing, out in the sweet air.
Safe from the depredations of the past , from the Church that did not nurture.
Safe and strong..
May it ever be so. Amen
